The Path of Freedom. So, it began.

So what should be in that all important first chapter? It is like meeting someone for the first time, much shapes your opinions and attitudes in those first thirty seconds. So with an opening chapter we must engage the reader, introduce a style, gain and keep their interest. All writers crave readership and all readers are ready to invest their time , emotional and mental engagement, but will only do so if the fit is right. So it is so important for an author to remember how much of an honour it is for their readership to give this time and commitment. An Author will also be concerned with commercial and agents and publishers input, for the business that is writing is by many about copies and sales. For me this series of Books was born of a conviction an inner voice screaming to get out, characters and their stories fighting for a voice and the need to consume print. I can honestly assure you any commercial aspect never entered my head other than in pipe dreams of what might be. That is not to say other works have not had that consideration but this series is a story, I believe, I was born to write.
